Overview
This seminar is targeting students and academics who are beginning to use qualitative research methods as part of their research. Dr Schweickle will provide a practical introduction to using qualitative approaches, with a particular focus on key tips for producing qualitative research of a publishable standard. This seminar will cover the topics of philosophy and the role of methodological coherence, tips for conducting an interview, and determining an appropriate sample size.
Bio
Matthew Schweickle is a post-doctoral research associate in the Global Alliance of Mental Health and Sport. He is well-versed in the use of qualitative research methodologies in the field of sport and exercise psychology. His program of research is focused on sport and exercise psychology, with a focus on improving performance under pressure, promoting mental health, and understanding how best to use goal-setting.
